The Lost Boy

Lillian and Edwin Gonzalez are unable to have children. Instead they decide to indulge another dream and in 2008 they renovate a derelict old Victorian mansion. Within days of moving in, they hear a loud crash upstairs as though a chimney had fallen in. Then came another crash from down in the basement. There, it looks like someone has purposefully swept off everything they’d just arranged on the shelves. Desperate for answers they consult a historical researcher who discovers the house has a secret history. It was once "an unofficial whorehouse" in the 1960s. Together they work out that a prostitute had an illegitimate son who drowned in the cistern. He’s been searching for his mother all these years - and instead has found Lillian.
