Marina's attempt to break the spell triggers an automated voice recording from Fogg. He warns her not to attempt to break his spell. But honestly, is anyone else still just super pumped to have Marina back in the story?

Margo/Janet was tossed to Fillory, and gets pulled into a stream by a freaky creature. Under water and wet, she is told by her subject that she needs to break the spell. She is King Margo, and this has all been foretold.

Marina surprises Fogg in his office and sticks him with a syringe. She's cast the same spell on him that he put on the others, in an effort to make him reveal an antidote and undo the spell.

Fen and Co. explain to Margo/Janet that they need to find Ember. Fillory is under the influence of opium and the land is in danger. She's not really on board with any of this, but agrees to help them find Ember in order to get out of there.

Fogg, believing this to be his last day on Earth in his true form, goes on a wild spree full of truth-telling, debt repayments and fisticuffs. Not so much making amends, really. And he asks Todd to catalog it all.

Evil Eliot forced Quentin/Brian to capture a pig. Now he wants him to kill him in a ritual sacrifice to call forth a god. Quentin/Brian objects, so Evil Eliot breaks his arm.

Julia/Kim stops Fogg to talk to him one last time. She tries to stop him -- begs him to reveal the spell so as not to have to leave -- but he is resigned to his fate.

Marina turns Fogg into a homeless beggar outside of her apartment. The added touch of "Hi, Dad" makes this all the more heartbreaking.

At Santa's urging, Alice reaches her arm into a duct in order to catch bits of magic. She then powers the roach she had smuggled and walks him down the hall, seeing through his eyes. And in the Head Librarian's office she spots a chimney -- a possible escape route.

Evil Eliot and Quentin/Brian lure the God Enyalius to them with a ritual sacrifice. Except it's not Enyalius, but one of his servants. Evil Eliot torture that info out of him, and kills him.

Julia/Kim and Todd find a magic battery orb in Fogg's office. It's powering the magical spells in his absence, and despite the ration. Julia/Kim decides to touch it….

And it kills her.

And she's fine? So, yep, she keeps doing it. Until the battery uses up all of its power. The result: She and everyone else under the spell violently change back to their true selves.

In Fillory, Margo/Janet confronts the fake Ember. When she becomes King Margo, he thanks her for playing and snaps her off somewhere -- maybe back to Earth. Right as she finally understood what was going on!

Evil Eliot whisks them back to Marina's apartment in NYC, and the gang is relieved to be themselves and to be reuniting. But Quentin dashes in and quickly tells them to stay away from Eliot. Because Evil Eliot is evil.
