The government's secret UFO program has just been revealed, and it’s something out of a sci-fi movie

We didn’t know much about the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program until now, but apparently, the Department of Defense has been focusing its efforts far beyond potential threats on Earth.

The Defense Intelligence Agency has finally let the public in on at least some of what it’s been up to by recently releasing a list of 38 research titles that range from the weird to the downright bizarre. It would have never revealed these titles—on topics like invisibility cloaking, wormholes and extradimensional manipulation—if it wasn’t for the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request put in by the director of the Federation of American Scientists’ Project on Government Society, Steven Aftergood.

“The list of research papers tells us something more than previous reporting did about this odd program,” Aftergood told Motherboard. “Now we have a better idea of exactly what the Defense Intelligence Agency was up to, and what it produced.”

We can finally get an insider look at the Pentagon’s study of what it calls “anomalous aerospace threats,” meaning UFOs. The government has been running a UFO operation behind our backs all this time. With titles like Advanced Nuclear Propulsion for Manned Deep Space Missions, Pulsed High-Power Microwave Technology, Space Access, Invisibility Cloaking and Traversable Wormholes, Stargates and Negative Energy, you can probably see why.

That study on traversable wormholes was indeed seeking out intelligent aliens. Before this gets too Stargate SG-1, EarthTech International’s Eric W. Davis was also taking a deep dive into the fabric of spacetime. Would zooming through a wormhole (if they even exist) large enough to accommodate a spaceship land us in a place where we could find aliens that have knowledge on par with or more advanced than ours? Who knows.

Channeling another technological advancement that only exists in science fiction, Warp Drive, Dark Energy and the Manipulation of Extra Dimensions sounds like a class you take at Starfleet Academy. What makes it somewhat eerie is that author Richard Obousy is a theoretical physicist (and director of a nonprofit appropriately named Icarus Interstellar) who created a warship design that is supposed to be scientifically accurate and could run on dark energy. The thing is, we just have to figure out how to manipulate that dark energy so we can actually use it.

Invisibility cloaking is more complicated than it seems. Research done by German scientist Ulf Leonhardt ventured into the realm of theoretical quantum optics, with the end goal of creating an invisible void in space for the purpose of hiding objects. You can only guess at what kind of objects. Nature actually cited this invisibility cloak thing, so his theories have to be legit.

The Pentagon is obviously interested in more than just alien spacecraft or even the potential existence of aliens. If this is what they have released to the public, whatever they have kept classified must be completely mind-blowing.
