Project Blue Book creators & cast set virtual reunion event to raise money for charity
Fans of HISTORY's scripted drama, Project Blue Book, haven't seen any of the cast together since the show's second season finale on March 24, 2020. As the real world was locking down due to COVID-19 pandemic, audiences were left wondering what had happened to Captain Michael Quinn (Michael Malarkey) and whether Dr. Hynek (Aidan Gillen) would find him in the frozen tundra of Antartica.
And they still are.
Sadly, the series wasn't picked up by HISTORY due to a change in their programming focus, but executive producers David O'Leary and Sean Jablonski have been actively trying to find a new home for it ever since. NBC's new streaming service, Peacock, is currently where both seasons of Project Blue Book are available for audience bingeing in the meantime. And the dedicated fan base has spent three months collecting 17,000 petition signatures hoping to show networks that they will return for a Season 3 wherever the show finds a new home.
O'Leary and Jablonski figured it was time for an update, and a reunion, so on Wednesday, August 12, at 12 p.m. PST, the creators, along with cast members Aidan Gillen, Michael Malarkey, Laura Mennell, and Michael Harney, are getting the band back together with Chat4Good for a great cause.
The event will be moderated by Tara Bennett, host of the SYFY WIRE's Project Blue Book Official podcast, and take place on the Looped App. Tickets costs $10. All proceeds from the Project Blue Book Chat4Good event will support GO Campaign, for their global COVID-19 relief work, as well as addressing racial inequality throughout the United States – from Los Angeles to Chicago to New York. Tickets are available for purchase from Thursday, August 6, at 11 a.m. at Chat4Good.
What will we talk about? That's up to you! We'll collect fan questions on our social feeds. And you'll get to ask the EPs and cast what you've wanted to know about the characters, and the making of the show, while the virtual chat is happening live. We suggest you scribble down all those burning questions you've had from Seasons 1 and 2. And there's no better time to listen to our Project Blue Book podcast:
