Loki's first trailer is a time-bending romp through history for Disney+ series

By Jacob Oller & Justin Carter
Loki Tom Hiddleston

The last time MCU fans saw Loki, his past self had just absconded with the Tesseract (aka the Space Stone of Infinity Stone fame) through a portal in the past. Things were looking bad for the good guys, but that's how most Loki fans like it.

Now, the God of Mischief is heading back to the Marvel universe thanks to his own Disney+ series. As we see in the first trailer below, dropped during today's Disney Investor event, Thor's fickle brother will get to explore the endless possibilities of that powerful gem.

As much fun as Loki tries to have, he eventually winds up being caught by the TVA, an organization tasked with keeping track of time. And wouldn't you know it, they need themselves a new agent to join their ranks and travel through various chaotic timelines. In addition to Owen Wilson and Richard E. Grant, the cast is rounded out by Sophia DiMartino, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston reprising his MCU role as the fallout from Avengers: Endgame's timeline affects everything fans know and love. The show will initially only have six episodes from director Kate Herron, apparently tying into the MCU's lineup of Phase 4 films (especially Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness).

Loki premieres exclusively on Disney+ in the Spring of 2021.
