The Haunting of Hill House is no more. The Haunting of Bly Manor owns the night. The second iteration of horror writer/director Mike Flanagan's Netflix anthology has moved on from Shirley Jackson and onto the work of Henry James. Just a few days after showing off its first lookBly Manor is opening its doors with its first footage — and parents beware, the kids are not alright.

James, the author best known for the 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw is getting all his spooky work warped into a season of terrifying TV starring the likes of Catherine Parker, Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, T’Nia Miller, Amelia Eve, Amelie Smith, and Benjamin Ainsworth. Now horrorhounds and literary genre fans alike can check out its first trailer, which is one of Flanagan's most recent offerings after his Stephen King adaptation Doctor Sleep.

Take a look:

A nanny, a few haunted children, a housekeeper...what's not to like? It's classic horror!

Even the opening voiceover, aside from the spooky kid choir, welcomes fans to a "ghost story." Flanagan's inventive and terrifying trick of peppering his backgrounds with ghosts, creeps, and other hints of horror is present even in this trailer. But try to keep it together like Smith's little girl, who turns and shushes some definitely undead being. Kids these days.

The Haunting of Bly Manor brings its supernatural aura to Netflix on Oct. 8.
