Game of Thrones steals throne from beer commercial at Super Bowl
In the spirit of the bloodthirsty politics of HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones, the show's Super Bowl commercial -- promoting its final season -- took over a Bud Light commercial with a few special appearances.
Taking over as a surprise midway through a commercial seemingly about jousting, the show's Mountain turned up for an eye-bursting cameo as dragons flew overhead in the background. The medieval beer lovers never knew what hit them.
Oof, that poor Bud Light knight. His watch has truly ended, because he's definitely never watching any else ever again.
Thankfully the commercial refrains from spoiling anything in the upcoming season, unless of course it is canon -- in which case ... well, we have some questions, to say the least. What kingdom are these folks with, exactly?
The final season of Game of Thrones airs on April 14.
