Chosen One of the Day: The hero we need

Let’s not mince words, everything is terrible. Just world-endingly bad. I’ve never been so constantly stressed out and anxious in my entire life. Forgive us, for we are sad, and it has been 256 days since we had any Baby Yoda news — but wait? What’s that? 

That all changed today? 

This morning, Star Wars tweeted out two Entertainment Weekly covers and guess what! They feature our favorite collective son, and our favorite collective sun, The Child of our hearts: Baby Yoda. 

Look at our boy on his solo cover. He knew we needed him and he arrived with his big brown eyes and his impenetrable stare. He could be excited to see us, he could be thinking about Din, or he could be hungry. He’s probably hungry. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how much we need this. 

And then there’s the family photo. Din Djarin stands stoically with the sweetest widdle bebe yiddle yoddle chillin’ in a messenger bag on his hip. Someday when we mass commute again, I would like to be able to experience this exact thing. The Child hanging out in a very cool messenger bag settled at my hip, the only difference would be my enamel pins (which would not poke him, I am not a monster). 

Just... thanks. Thanks, kid, for showing up and being you. You’re a gift. And we love you. Say hi to your mom for me.
