Chosen One of the Day: Night Monkey

Spoilers for Spider-Man: Far from Home below.

Ah, the beauty and splendor of Europe. The art. The history. The architecture. The off-brand American superheroes clad in basic black and with the finest Babelfish of a name imaginable. 

On his school trip, Peter Parker's plans for romance and murder celebration are spoiled when a water monster and Jake Gyllenhaal show up. Through some encouragement from Nick Fury (kind of), Peter decides to help out but knows that sporting his standard red and blue lewk would be a dead giveaway that Spider-Man walks among the students of Midtown. 

And, so, Night Monkey was born. 

Clad in black, albeit with distinctly Spidery eye covers, Pete takes to the walls to join Mysterio and help save his friends from a fiery Ferris wheel demise. This previously unseen masked man captures the imagination of Europe where he is anointed with the greatest super name of all: NIGHT. MONKEY. 

The next Spider-Man film has yet to be announced. In the meantime, we're all in on Night Monkey: The Movie.
