Rebel Moon, Zack Snyder’s latest feature endeavor at Netflix, is gearing up for production and already has the cast to prove it.

We already knew that Star Trek Beyond’s Sofia Boutella is leading the fantasy sci-fi film, which Snyder hopes will become the foundation for a major space franchise. Today, The Hollywood Reporter also broke the news that Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), Bae Doona (Cloud Atlas), and Ray Fisher (Justice League) have also joined the cast.

Charlie Hunnam’s previous work includes FX's Sons of Anarchy and Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim. We don’t have any information on who Hunnam will be playing yet, but we do know that Bae will reportedly be playing a sword-wielding baddie, while Hounsou’s character’s name is General Titus.

Fisher is teaming up once again with Snyder after playing Cyborg in Justice League, a role that set him in the middle of a controversy after he publicly criticized how director Joss Whedon, who replaced Snyder, treated him and others on set. While we don’t have details on Fisher’s role in Rebel Moon, THR is reporting that his character’s name is Blood Axe.

“Honored to welcome this incredible cast to Rebel Moon,” Snyder shared in a tweet along with some of his concept art for the film. “Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, and Ray Fisher join previously announced Sofia Boutella. Jena Malone, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, & Sky Yang round out the cast. More to come. Let's go!”

Rebel Moon was co-written by Snyder, Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead) and Kurt Johnstad (300). It focuses on a peaceful colony on the fringes of a galaxy that becomes threatened by a tyrant named Belisarius. In order to protect their home, the colonists turn to a young woman with a mysterious past (Boutella), who consequently seeks out other warriors to help the colony make a stand against Belisarious' army.

Production on Rebel Moon is set to start this April and last through November, an extra-long schedule since the project is aiming to be a two-part feature. No news yet on when we’ll see Snyder’s Star Wars-esque feature on Netflix’s streaming platform.
