Warner Bros.' Harry Potter Studio Tour is soon opening the doors of Gringotts

If you’ve ever wanted to get into Gringotts bank without a key, now is your chance. The only place where J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World is more real than the Universal Studios theme parks is the The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter just north of London, where you can visit the actual movie sets.

Now Warner Bros. has announced that on April 6, it will open the doors to the authentic restored set of Gringotts.

The new expansion means you’ll be able to walk through that marble hall Harry gazed at in wonder in The Sorcerer’s Stone. No curmudgeonly goblins will demand your key, but you will get a closeup of the costumes and prosthetics used to morph humans like Warwick Davis (the actor behind Griphook) into those creatures. Muggles will also get to explore the vaults that even some wizards didn’t have access to.

After you’ve been enchanted by the banking hall, you will head into the vault of Bellatrix Lestrange. That’s kind of a big deal for any Potterhead who knows that both the Sword of Gryffindor and the Hufflepuff Cup were stashed in there. The cup was a Horcrux in which Voldemort hid a piece of his soul so he could achieve immortality. The Dark Lord cursed it to replicate itself, which it did 7.014 times when Harry, Ron and Hermione broke into Gringotts to get their hands on it in Deathly Hallows Part II.

Warner Bros. hasn’t even revealed all the treasures that could be hiding in the shadows of Gringotts (yet). What about the Sorcerer’s Stone that was lurking in vault 713? Will you have to ride a mine cart to Harry’s vault? No Muggle or wizard knows yet.

You might not be able to indulge yourself in wizard gold at the end of the tour, but you can have a souvenir photo taken at the Lestrange Vault. Be sure to wear your best wizarding robes.
