TV THIS WEEK: La Brea, The Walking Dead: World Beyond and 'Unidentified' premiere; plus Titans & more
This week is loaded with premieres, ranging from nuclear zombies to prehistoric sinkholes — plus a very unique search for the truth about aliens and a spook-tacular Star Wars special.
The big premiere this week is the high-concept sci-fi series La Brea on NBC, which follows the fallout of a gigantic sinkhole that opens up and leads to a mysterious, prehistoric world. Peacock also has the premiere of Unidentified with Demi Lovato, which follows Lovato on a search for the truth about alien encounters. AMC also has a big premiere on the calendar, with The Walking Dead spinoff series World Beyond returning for its second (and final) season.
Disney+ is bringing some fresh Star Wars content with the LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales special, along with a new episode of animated MCU series Marvel's What If...? The CW has new episodes of Supergirl and Stargirl, and if you're looking for the more R-rated side of the DC Universe, HBO Max has new episodes of Doom Patrol and Titans.
SYFY has a throwback slasher marathon to help ring in October, and Amazon Prime is dropping a couple of its Welcome to the Blumhouse horror flicks. On the family friendly side, Disney is also premiering its kid mummy movie remake Under Wraps on the Disney Channel.
