Truth Seekers reunites Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in the horror/comedy's first trailer
This isn't the Travel Channel — these ghostly adventures are part of the Truth Seekers, the upcoming paranormal horror/comedy series from Amazon that dropped its first footage today. Coming just a few days after fans saw first images from the show, the trailer premiered during the Comic-Con@Home panel for the series (from Shaun of the Dead’s Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as well as Sick Note's James Serafinowicz and Nat Saunders). It's a rollicking preview of a goofy world of X-Files and Ghost Hunters-esque comedy goodness.
The eight-episode series sees its part-time paranormal investigators (and internet content creators) gallivanting around the U.K. to bust ghosts and investigate the supernatural. However, the silly trailer teases an all-too-real otherworldly conspiracy they'll uncover.
Check it out:
Frost's Gus and Simon Pegg's Dave (not to be confused with the pair's alien film, Paul) see glitchy ghosts, Satanic nastiness, and very bad haircuts as they stumble around the afterlife and more.
The show also stars Samson Kayo as Elton, Malcolm McDowell as Richard, Emma D’Arcy as Astrid, Susan Wokoma as Helen, Julian Barratt as Dr. Peter Toynbee, Morgana Robinson as Janey, Kate Nash as Mary, and Kevin Eldon as Jack.
Truth Seekers hits Amazon this fall.
