It's playtime! Chucky taking over SYFY for a killer ‘Child’s Play’ marathon on April 1
Start sharpening your favorite kitchen knife because SYFY has set up a playdate with Don Mancini's Chucky that just slays. No fooling around!
The network will host a day-long marathon of Child's Play films on Thursday, April 1, airing the 1988 original all the way through 2017's Cult of Chucky. In addition, the collection of films are slashing their way onto the SYFY app Friday, April 16, and will remain there until mid-June (save for the first Child's Play, which leaves April 30). The SYFY app is free to download, and viewers can either connect to their cable subscriber to access the full content or sign up for an NBCUniversal profile and use up to three free credits.
In an exclusive statement to SYFY WIRE, Mancini said: "As a tasty aperitif in anticipation of Chucky’s upcoming savory 8-course SYFY/USA TV series, we’re super-excited to announce that fans will be able to experience Chucky’s entire 7-film (and counting!), 33-year (and counting!) legacy in a single marathon event of pure terror on April 1 on SYFY! Nothing foolish about that!"

As fans well know, the homicidal doll (voiced by the legendary Brad Dourif) is set to make his debut on SYFY and USA later this year in the first-ever TV series inspired by the long-running franchise. Aptly titled Chucky, the show also features Child's Play franchise veterans Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif, along with Zackary Arthur (Transparent), Teo Briones (Ratched), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak), Björgvin Arnarson (The Seventh Day), and Devon Sawa (Final Destination).
