Rooster Teeth reveals release for Vicious Circle game, new Achievement Haunter season
The Rooster Teeth crew was on hand at San Diego Comic-Con to give fans a sneak peek at all the new and returning projects they'll be cranking out over the next year, from ghost-hunting epics to anime adventures.
The Rooster Teeth founders, creators, writers, and talent rolled in to rollicking applause from the packed crowd. The appearance marked the first time in almost a decade Rooster Teeth hosted a SDCC panel, and the crew spent a good chunk of the time bantering, letting fans get a look at what they typically only get to hear via podcast.
News-wise, the studio dropped a new trailer for the "uncooperative shooter" video game Vicious Circle , along with a release date of August 13. You can pick it up on Steam for $20.
They also confirmed work is continuing on the sketch show Arizona Circle, which has an entire season order. A previously-released pilot was well-received. The crew teased the show is "dark and demented," and made clear its aimed squarely at adults. The clip show at the panel was an Amelia Earhart-focused skit, which ended with her ruling a crab kingdom alongside a crab king, eating her would-be human rescuer. Yeah, it's that kinda show.
A new clip from the ghost-hunting-esque series Achievement Haunter was also revealed, along with a release date for new episodes in January 2020. The clip found a team member buried alive in an effort to ratchet up the fear enough to hopefully attract some real-life ghosts. Considering how dark and quiet that coffin looked under the dirt, it might just work.
Rooster Teeth also reaffirmed plans for the hit sci-fi animated series gen:LOCK to premiere on Cartoon Network. The show will make its Adult Swim premiere on August 3.
Fans also got a first look at RWBY Volume 7, with an unfinished fight scene clip showing off some slick action moves. The show is set to return in the fall.
