The Rise of Skywalker TV spot shows off the Knights of Ren, Disney releases new character posters

With Thanksgiving only five days away, the good folks at Lucasfilm have given us quite a few things to be thankful for in the world of Star Wars.

First, this past week, they released character posters featuring the leading players in December’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. They range from legends like Lando and Chewbacca to the next generation of the galaxy’s heroes in Finn, Poe, and Rey. You can check them out in the gallery below.

Fans angling for a glimpse of the Knights of Ren finally have a good, if fleeting, chance here, as we spy Kylo Ren’s disciples perched on a plateau. For the most part, Lucasfilm has been holding back on the reveal, only showing them in concept art and as Funko POP! figures.

Star Wars fans can also agree a Stormtrooper’s aim isn’t the best, but it’s not because of their lack of updated tech. The spot shows off some new weaponry for the First Order in the form of an armored speeder bike that can apparently catapult troopers into battle. If they miss the target, their new jetpacks can steer them in the right direction.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, directed by J.J. Abrams and starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver, opens in theaters December 20.
