Skeletor has the power in trailer for Kevin Smith's 'Masters of the Universe: Revelation' Part 2 on Netflix
Masters of the Universe: Revelation - Part 2 drops onto Netflix Tuesday, Nov. 23.
A chaos-loving Skeletor runs the show in a nearly 3-minute look at the second installment of Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe: Revelation animated series on Netflix. Part 1 ended with the boney foe (voiced by Mark Hamill) stabbing Adam (Chris Wood) and wielding the Sword of Power. Don't worry, though — the trailer for Part 2 doesn't leave Adam's fate ambiguous.
Not only is the titular hero still alive, but he can also channel his He-Man powers because "the sword is just the conduit," he explains to a jacked-up Skeletor (or "SkeleGod" as Smith refers to him). "But the spark, that was always me." He too gets jacked and leads a band of weary heroes in an all-out struggle for the very future of Eternia.
"What people should expect is Skeletor is absolutely obsessed with achieving his goals. Those don't change," Hamill said on the Season 1 after-show when Smith asked him for a small teaser of what might happen in Part 2.
Sharing the new footage on Twitter, Smith praised the work done by the project's animation studio, Powerhouse Animation. "The @powerhouseanim kids have absolutely outdone themselves in bringing the @Mattel madness of MOTU's biggest battle to life, as He-Man's fury's unleashed on SkeleGod!" he wrote.

Shortly after the first five episodes premiered in late July, Smith addressed fan backlash over the decision to seemingly kill off He-Man. “I see people online go, ‘Hey man, they’re getting rid of He-Man!'” he said. “Like, you really f***ing think Mattel Television, who hired me and paid me money, wants to do a f***ing Masters of the Universe show without He-Man? Grow the f*** up, man. Like, that blew my mind, bunch of people being like, ‘Oh, I smell it. This is a bait and switch.’”
The supporting voice cast is seriously stacked: Lena Headey (Evil-Lyn), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Teela), Liam Cunningham (Man-At-Arms), Tiffany Smith (Andra), Alicia Silverstone (Queen Marlena), Steven Root (Cringer), Diedrich Bader (King Randor), and Tony Todd (Scare Glow). New voices for the sophomore chapter include: Method Man (Clamp Champ), Dee Bradley Baker (Savage He-Man), and Danny Trejo (Ramm Man).
All five episodes of Masters of the Universe: Revelation - Part 2 drop onto Netflix Tuesday, Nov. 23. The streamer is billing the next batch of episodes as "a thrilling and epic conclusion to the two-part series."
