Marvel's Helstrom debuts first hellish trailer and release date at Comic-Con@Home

By Brian Silliman
Helstrom (Hulu)

The days of Marvel's existence on Hulu are not over yet. Though many of their titles are now either ending or shifting over to Disney+, the new series Helstrom will hold down the old Hulu fort.

Showrunner Paul Zbyszewski and some of the show's cast held a panel today as part of Comic-Con@Home, and gave us a hint of what fresh hell we can look forward to in the last surviving Marvel series greenlit for Hulu following Jeph Loeb's former TV dominion being absorbed completely by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige.

The comic-based show revolves around Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), the son and daughter of a sinister serial killer, who make it their business to "track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills," per the official synopsis.

There's no better way to get a taste of the new show than with a teaser, which can be seen here:

In terms of Marvel fare that has been previously seen on Hulu, this definitely looks like a down-and-dirty (and quite dark) approach, which is very appropriate given the subject material that the show is based on.

Also revealed? All 10 episodes of the series will debut on Hulu on Friday, Oct. 16. Get ready to track down the very worst of humanity.
