Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 drops first full 3DCG trailer
After unveiling a brief look at cyberhuman crimefighter Motoko Kusanagi AKA the Major, Netflix's 3DCG version of Ghost in the Shell (dubbed Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045) has released its first full trailer. Ghost in the Shell is one of the most iconic animes out there, with its near-future dystopia tackling all sorts of technological and philosophical issues over the course of its various iterations (yes, even the live-action Scarlett Johansson version).
Now the Netflix original adaptation from Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) takes fans to 2045, where the Major's "elite Section 9" is running all its technology-driven spy missions. Its first full trailer really gives fans a good look at the series' new animation style.

Post-humanity has never looked like this. Some fans may be shocked from the move away from handdrawn animation, but the teaser certainly set this up. At least some things haven't changed. The trailer confirms its familiar characters will be voiced by their Ghost in the Shell SAC original cast members: Atsushi Nakanaka is back as Motoko Kusanagi, Akio Takatsuka is back as Bato, and Hirota Takaji reprises Togusa.
The show also dropped its Major-centric poster, with two rows of supporting cast filing in behind her, ready for action.
