Back in La Rochelle, we know at least two people having a good time: and that’s Calvin and May. But not for long: Garvey comes home and interrupts their session. Shortly after, May gets called away to action — someone’s been murdered.

The corpse that May brings to the Hastings Funeral Home for Tilly’s autopsy is messed. Up. Looks like the Dredge tried to use it as a meat suit.

Oh, and it looks like whoever did Dr. Kim’s hiring wasn’t so thorough: the hospital brought on an infernal in Nurse Judy. She sucks the life out of Dr. Kim, and brings the empty corpse to the Dredge for a fitting.

Dr. Dredge, in his new digs, pays a visit to Aunt Nancy, and in exchange for some obsidian she gives him the spider with Calvin’s memories on it. It's the Ring of Solomon that Dr. Dredge desires.

Dr. Dredge attends a town hall meeting to discuss the Founder’s Day celebrations and booth assignment, and there ingratiates himself with May — who’s on the board. Looks like his plan is taking shape.

Isaac uses some memory crystals to take Calvin on a journey through his past. Turns out Isaac was elected by a joint council of Moor and Templars to keep the balance between good and evil. Easy, right? Now aware of his father’s cool past, Calvin wants in.

Dr. Dredge is able to whisk May away for a few minutes to “get to know her better” and win her confidence. This is all part of his sick plan.

Then Garvey shows up, and Dr. Dredge gets two hostages. Again, this is all part of devilish plot.

After Dr. Dredge pretends that his phone isn’t working, May hands him hers to use to “call the hospital”. Dredge uses the cellphone to contact Calvin’s number, and let him know that he’s got two of his family members in his grasp. If Calvin doesn’t surrender himself, Dredge is going to kill them both.

Calvin won’t let the Dredge do anything to his family, so he gives himself over willingly. Before he leaves, though, Isaac straps him with a tracking device.

Calvin surrenders, and gets into the Dredge’s van. Their destination? Unknown.
