Fern Sutherland

After gaining acting experience in short films with lead roles in productions at UNITEC Performing Arts School, Fern Sutherland segued into theatre with roles in such productions as Silo Theatre's Ensemble Project 08 and the Auckland Theatre Company's The Pohutakawa Tree (2009) and The End of the Golden Weather (2011). She simultaneously arrived on the television scene with roles in the second season of Go Girls and as Dawn in The Almighty Johnsons.

Fern's work in the first season of The Almighty Johnsons earned her a nomination for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress at the 2011 Aotearoa Film and Television Awards (AFTAs).
