Warning: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
Look, Bo’s been through a lot lately. She released her father upon the world. Some really groovy stuff went down with Lady Zee. AND SHE TOTALLY SAVED LAUREN’S LIFE! But Lauren seems fine now. Except…is she? Either way, Bo’s on a stake out with Dyson. They’re waiting for Lady Zee, who caused all the trouble earlier.

Meanwhile, back at the lab, Lauren is having a pleasant chat with Bo’s birth father, Hades. He asks to take a look at Lauren, who isn’t having it. Thing is, Lauren’s not sure that Bo is the succubus in the scenario with the truck. In fact, she’s not sure that SHE wasn’t the succubus.

When they think Lady Zee has arrived in her long crazy limousine, it turns out to be a surprise. It’s Kenzi! Welcome home, girl. Things are happening and Kenzi has news and a visitor for Bo.
196836
The visitor turns out to be Hale’s grandfather, a sweet man named Heathcliff. See, while Kenzi was in Spain, some men broke into the house where she was staying and stole a painting Heathcliff gave to Hale, known as “The Vanishing.” It’s a really important painting because it holds the key to how the ancients left the world.
196837
Meanwhile, Alicia is starting to think that her husband is possessed, has done some snooping in Dyson’s office, and has a LOT of questions. Dyson hands her off to Mark to help her figure things out (but not tell her too much, obvs.)
196838
When Bo and Kenzi decide to stake out the art gallery to find the painting, Bo hits a dead end when the gallery owner won’t show it to her. Because also? It’s clear that someone is going to come for it soon. And also, the security in this place is HIGH!
196839
As Alicia gets more and more desperate about finding some answers about her husband, Mark finally cracks just a bit and reveals that this woman’s husband was taken over by bigger powers than anyone can imagine. And then Mark cracks a LOT. He tells her all about the Fae.
196840
Meanwhile Bo gets her way into the Sub Basement of the gallery to search for the painting and creeps under some lasers to find her way to the painting before Zee does – except she finds Persephone instead. And there’s news. According to lore, because of all that’s gone down – Persephone is technically bound to Hades and also Bo’s prisoner. Except Bo sets her free.
196841
Lauren is not doing so well. Actually she’s doing GREAT, but in this case that’s not so great because it means that the injection she gave herself has given her the ability to take on the powers of any of the Faes she touches.
196842
Dyson is pretty upset that Mark told Alicia all about the Fae. And Alicia is pretty upset that there are Faes at all and that they took over. When she comes to look at her husband’s body, they bond over how hard it is to lose someone.
196843
Turns out the painting is a depiction of the last time the ancient Gods were all together. The painting also happens to have actual musical notes embedded in it, if only you put down lines on the image. Hades tells Bo and Kenzi that a siren has to sing “the first song,” which is what the musical notes add up to. They’re going to go and find Heathcliff the Siren, have him sing it in the line of fire and banish Zee.
196844
There’s a catch, though. It turns out the painting can be used to do some serious damage to Bo.
196845
Bo convinces Persephone to bring Lady Zee toward them all so they can banish her with the first song. But when Persephone decides to warn Zee instead…
196846
…Zee takes matters into her own hands, steals the siren’s voice, and decides to make him sing a song to banish Bo instead. And Bo, playing hero, decides to banish herself with the siren’s song in order to save everyone else.
196847
Lauren goes to check in on Heathcliff’s throat, and when she touches him, takes his powers! She sings the first song and banishes Zee! Everyone’s pretty shocked by the turn of events. But mostly Bo.
196848
After Trick tells Dyson he needs to deal with the fact that a human knows about the Fae world, he takes her to the bar and says he wants to claim her. She’s reluctant at first, but eventually she agrees.
196849
Lauren proves that her human-to-fae serum is now in full effect by using Vex’s powers. And it turns out that Lauren is actually pretty excited about all of this, because now she gets to be with Bo for a long time. Bo is nervous and asks what the long-term effects might be. Lauren doesn’t seem to care, and neglects to say that the person telling her it’s all okay is Hades.
196850
As Kenzi and Bo check in, Bo admits that she’s conflicted about how she feels about getting to know her father. Turns out, it’s with good reason.
196851
It turns out that Hades changed the song so that it didn’t banish Zee altogether, it just made Bo and the team THINK it banished Zee. Hades and Zee get into a fight and Hades warns her “Brother, there’s no point in resisting me, it’s begun.” Uh-oh, team.
