The team decides that if they want to get to the bottom of this problem with the ancients, they’re going to have to join Bo at the party thrown by the ancients, which Bo receives a mysterious invitation to.

While at the party, Bo tells Lauren that she’s no longer satisfied with the fact that there will always be a reason for them to put off being together. And Lauren responds pretty simply with: “Oh boy.” What does she mean? Hard to say because they’re interrupted by Tamsin, in a gorgeous dress.

Bo takes a minute to try and locate Zeus and Hera by talking to their "daughter", Iris, who is inhabiting the body of a young girl name CeCe who died in the elevator a few episodes ago.

Doesn’t matter though, because ZeeZee (Blonde lady Zeus, by the way) interrupts them. This is the form Zeus is taking now, gorgeous dress, chunky necklace, and sister to Hades. So, Bo’s aunt, basically. ZeeZee says she’s here to help Bo because they want the same thing, to stop Hades from using Bo to end the world.

It turns out that Bo being on earth is the thing that’s been giving Hades his power for so long. So Bo agrees to the emancipation from her father that ZeeZee is proposing.

Since Iris has taken the body of a teenage girl, she’s sullen and moody and rebellious and she wants to leave the party and make out with Mark. So…off they go. To the home that belongs to the family of CeCe, whose body Iris is using. Sheesh, it’s complicated being an ancient.

Meanwhile, inside the party Bo and the team have to choose the weapon that will cut the mark of Hades out of her. It’s a brutal ceremony, but someone has to do it.

Meanwhile, Tamsin and Dude-Hera (the guy who's body Hera is hijacking) have some choice words when she, Lauren, and Dyson tie him up as an insurance policy against anything bad happening to Bo. But that’s when it occurs to them – Iris might be more powerful than anyone guessed.

While the team tries to find them, Iris and Mark finish fooling around in the living room. It turns out Iris is very powerful and that worries Bo and company. Also? It turns out that Cece is still alive inside the body.

When Iris confronts the father of the body she’s using, things go poorly and Mark is stabbed in the chest by CeCe's mother just as Iris escapes into the world.

When Bo tries to comfort Iris about the things that Zeus and Hera made her do, she reaches out to touch her face, and that’s when some serious evil starts to be unleashed.

Turns out - the only way to fight the evil and emptiness that could take over the world - is via the box that Hades sent to Bo for her birthday.

As Dyson and Lauren search the park for Iris, they come across an even more unsettling sight – Mark, bloodied and near death.

Later, Bo and ZeeZee fight it out over the box in pure Lost Girl fashion – meaning gorgeous gowns and innuendo about female sexuality. All while ZeeZee tells her to definitely NOT open the box.

And there he is. Bo’s father. Hades (played by Eric Roberts!). Telling her to go ahead, open the box.
