After Bo's mom blew up the old Ash, a new one had to be chosen to keep the peace. The ritual itself involved a bunch of Faes hunting a "stag" (really a female Fae. Don't worry, Bo made sure she didn't die). Regardless, Lachlan, a mysterious man who was immune to Bo’s wiles, was crowned the new Ash. It was clear he had an agenda all his own.
