9 Things to Know About Krypton's Cameron Cuffe

Meet the man behind Seg-El. He's a big fan of music, Lord of the Rings and his mum and dad. So basically, he's just like us …except he's Krypton's last hope! After you get acquainted with Cameron, see him in action by watching all-new episodes of Krypton on Wednesdays at 10/9c.

1.  If Krypton were real, what Krypton house would you be in?

 Come on! I'm House El all the way.  I may not be Superman, but I believe in the best in people and that if you are in a position to make a positive difference, then you should.

2. Last movie I saw that I 100% loved?

I recently watched Zodiac on TV. I love a good thriller and David Fincher is a master at creating tension and momentum. Great production, great performances.

3. Do you have any weird talents?

I can pretty much quote the entirety of The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of The Ring from memory... complete with impressions. Weird enough for you?

4. What's your favorite song at the moment?

Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry. I recently rediscovered how much I love it. Yes it's an oldie, but it's rock and roll at its purest.

5. Krypton prop / or costume you wish you could take home with you?

That jacket. It has been with me through many a scene, stunt and battle. It's leather, so through all of that it relaxed to my movement patterns. Not to mention it has grown to be as battered and resilient as Seg. It's become an old friend.

6. Finish this sentence. If Krypton were a real place, I'd live there so long as they had a 24 hour ______ (i.e. Starbucks, gym, Walmart)

Therapist. Everyone on this show needs A LOT of therapy.

7.  When's the last time you laughed really hard?

My best mate at home in London is trying to make it as a stand up.  He's getting really, really good.  At his last mic I thought I had broken a rib from laughing so hard.

  8.  Which of your castmates would you like to switch characters with for an episode?

Hmm. Georgina Campbell.  Our show is full of interesting characters but Lyta to me takes the cake.  So much of her arc and journey is directly about self discovery.  Her relationship with her mother, her struggle to come to grips with the nature of her House, the rage buried deep within her.  A lot of Seg's story is about external struggle, battling Adam, Brainiac, Sentries, Black Zero, The Outlands etc.  Lyta's struggle is much more internal and as an actor I'd love to give that a go.

 9.  Who's your hero and why?

My mum and dad.  They gave everything for us boys growing up to make sure that my brothers and I had better than they did.  They taught us right from wrong, they instilled in us the values of kindness and determination, and they always believed in us.  In a nutshell that's what superheroes do.
