WARNING: If you don't want to know what happens in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
Thanks to the communication equipment left by the late Bob Brecke and some helpful last words from Regan's father Ted, Steph has successfully decoded the Hunter language. The ETU can now translate it into English ... and vice-versa. Finnerman wants to utilize the latter to send an order ... and set a trap.
201558
Regan tells Flynn that she went to see Emme ... and spared her life (whew!).
201559
The Hunters receive a message claiming that Musa says "The Purge is upon us" and they should all gather at a hotel in rural Ohio. Musa knows that it's an ETU trap ... but how many Hunters will fall for it?
201560
Quite a few, it seems. "Like fish in a barrel," observes the ever-sensitive Briggs, though Regan notices they come across more as "Soccer dads and soccer moms" than terrorists.
201561
Regan meets a nice family of Hunters who don't know why Musa has summoned them to middle-of-nowhere Ohio ... and have never heard of The Purge. Regan now has further proof that not all Hunters are terrorists or villains who need to be detained ... or worse.
201562
Tensions continue to rise between Liana and Musa as Musa insists on going to the hotel himself and saving his fellow Hunters from the ETU.
201563
After Flynn meets with Emme and tells her to never tell anyone about Abby and the Hunters, Abby herself appears and tells Flynn that 'The Purge' simply involves the Hunters leaving Earth and going home. The bombings, the drugs, the lithium and the killings were all a means to this end.
201564
Both Flynn and Jackson have a hard time believing Abby's story without hard evidence. Jackson thinks Abby's creating a diversion to save the Hunters in the hotel.
201565
Regan urges Jackson not to imprison and torture innocent Hunters trying to go about their lives. He remembers what her father Ted said to her before he died: "Protect the innocent ones."
201566
Musa tells Jackson that he wants to surrender but needs to enter the hotel to make his followers surrender as well. If the ETU doesn't let him, he'll press the button and ka-boom, everyone. Finnerman allows Musa access to the hotel after he surrenders his suicide vest. What's she up to ...?
201567
Musa tells his fellow Hunters that they've been lured "like lambs to the slaughter," and he's come to set them free.
201568
Ignoring Jackson's protests, Finnerman tells her soldiers to kill all Hunters in the hotel on sight ... including Regan, whom she believes can't be trusted after trying to help the nice family escape.
201569
The soldiers descend on the Hunter-filled hotel, firing away and claiming many Hunter lives, all set to a haunting cover of INXS' "The Devil Inside."
201570
Led by Musa and Abby, the Hunters counter-attack with a deadly gas, leaving the ETU soldiers temporarily blinded, deaf and physically ill.
201571
Flynn stumbles upon Abby tending to a seriously wounded Musa. They flee as he's attacked by a Hunter.
201572
Disgusted to find children amongst the dead Hunters, Flynn reunites with Regan and together they flee the hotel. Time to go rogue!
