The mansion was built by businessman Joe Allen. But it is the story of his daughter Ladell Allen and her lover, Prentiss Hemingway Savage, that continues on generations after they've died. The two had a doomed affair and Ladell later married another man. But that loss, combined with the deaths of her 2 sons, led her to commit suicide in the mansion at the age of 54. Much of this history has only been recently revealed, and now the paranormal activity in the mansion is increasing.

Mansion owners Rebecca and Mark Spencer were skeptical of folks who warned them that the house was haunted when they bought it. But now that they've faced full bodied apparitions, lived with a shadow man with a long coat, a ghost of a faceless child and disembodied voices they kinda believe that their dream building is really, REALLY haunted.

A strange compulsion led Mark to investigate his own attic one day. Under the floor boards he discovered a hidden cache of 83…yes 83! secret love letters addressed to Ladell. Even after they were both married. In his final letter, which was received shorly before the suicide, Prentiss told her he would never leave his wife for her. The Spencers would like to know if the paranormal activity matches the history they've pieced together.

This is the first time in Tango's investigative career that he has seen a solid mass figure as distinct and alarming as this! He calls into Amy to check it on the DVR for him. Oh. Wait. It was a car passing. Bummer. But Tango STILL thinks he saw a person, so Adam drives by the Inn several times in both directions to recreate the experience. They can't duplicate that shadow figure- so the mystery remains.

Michelle and Brit visit the attic where the Ladell's love letters were found and people have claimed to see apparitions and shadow figures. Immediately the shadow detector goes off and they both see a shadow pass by! Then they hear a loud exhale too. Then the door opens and closes! Then, out of nowhere, it smells like rotten eggs up there! (Britt knows that this is a sign of a doppleganger!)

Amy and Adam decide to write a letter to Ladell and leave it in her bedroom in hopes the ghost will respond. In another room, they read her letters aloud and suddenly hear a sound like a typewriter clicking. They find a typewriter downstairs and think the sounds are similar but they're not sure.

The rocking chair in the attic is moving by itself! That's spooky. Steve suspects that it's the loose floor boards that they are stepping on creating the motion. DEBUNKED!

Michelle is in the dining room with Britt when they see something go into the bathroom and hear a rumbling sound like someone is jiggling the doorknob, and the light goes on and off. There's no one there.

Every team had experiences in this investigation. Adam presents his typewriter evidence. Tango hears a voice in the background while Jay and Steve are talking. And the team finds fascinating video footage of a shadow in front of a window: just as Dave had his personal experience.

The credibility of all the personal experiences, added to the concrete evidence validates the claims of the Spencers. The team can't say for sure that the ghost is Ladell or related to the love letters. But Jason assures the couple that there is no negative energy here, so they should live in peace with their spirits.
