TAPS takes on this beautiful building tonight: The Garde Arts Center in New London, Connecticut. This facility has a history rooted deep in the community. It also has some mysterious activity going on that has the community riled up.

The space that the Arts Center is built upon was originally a mansion built in the 1830s by Thomas Williams, a prominent whaler who went on to become a congressman. Sadly, five of Williams' nine children died in the home before the age of 22. The last owner was William Williams (yes that's a name), until it was torn down in 1925.

The client, Mark, tells the guys that the building has seen many renovations over the years, and the paranormal activity has been consistent for the 10 years he has been there. The claims are unique: visitors have seen apparitions of a man hunched over in a chair and a child holding a balloon.

The projection booth is a hot spot of activity. Mark once heard footsteps come up the stairs to the booth and a loud exhale like someone was out of breath…but he was alone. That's a common occurrence. Other claims include voices and noises, music, shadow figures and doors banging continually. Lights tend to turn on and off ever since a lighting employee fell and died on the job.

Check out this experience! An employee claims he fell off a ladder in the administration booth, but someone caught him. Someone…invisible.

There is a huge amount of property to cover, but the team has plenty of strategically placed cameras on site, Tango explains. Theaters are always a challenge because they, by design, allow sound to travel far. But Jason is confident his team knows what they are doing and can handle the job.

Jason and Steve decide that an apparition of a girl with balloons is a residual haunt. Jason asks that the spirit in the auditorium put down a chair seat… and BOOM! That sounds like a chair all right!

In the "Speakeasy", Sam and Shari hear singing. Oh, wait - it's coming from the street. The walls aren't too solid, apparently.
204578
Steve picks up an extremely high EMF reading on the stage, which would easily cause people to hallucinate and feel uneasy. Under the stage they find the EMF levels in the 40's. The question is, are the EMF levels high causing people to think they see ghosts, or are the high EMF levels fueling the ghosts?

Dustin and K.J. hear odd noises in the projection booth.
204580
A loud banging noise in the basement has Jason baffled. He and Steve try to recreate it, but there's no way to explain what made the sound the first time. Very cool experience.
204581
Jason climbs to the top of the catwalk to see what's happening up there.
204582
OK... that light bulb wasn't there before, the cameraman swears to it. If that is what made the sound Jason heard then this is an amazing piece of evidence.
204583
Dustin holds out a balloon to capture the ghost girl's attention.
204584
What was that? A loud gasp interrupts K.J. and Dustin's conversation in the administration building. Dustin then gets a nice startle from a bird on the roof!
204585
The team documents all the evidence, including Jason's experience in the catwalk. The video footage captures all the voices and sounds that Jason heard in the catwalk, which is the most compelling evidence of the investigation.
204586
Mark is excited by the evidence. Jason believes this is an intelligent haunt, as it is interacting with the team. The light bulb incident points towards their lighting employee that passed away on the job, but there just isn't enough evidence to say it's him. None of the activity felt malicious and there is no reason for Mark to be hesitant to renovate.
