McKenzie lets them know that the winning monster and bride will be showcased at Universal Studios' big Halloween bash this year. Alana, especially, is excited to win this prize!

McKenzie is joined by actor/writer/director Kevin Grevioux, whose upcoming project, "I, Frankenstein", gives him special expertise on this assignment. He gives them pearls of wisdom regarding making a world for their original characters. He'll also be sitting in as a guest judge at the reveal stage, so they better heed his words!

Miranda feels uneasy at being the only veteran on her team, but she does her best to take the lead and throw ideas forward. The team chemistry is not great, but they wouldn't be the first dark horse to win this show. Miranda decides to take on sculpting the faces of both characters, while Eddie and Sam tackle one cowl piece each - and a lot of fabrication.

Roy has his time to shine when it comes to fabrication, and the judges wind up loving this arm, as well as the pistons that move the monster's head. Glenn thought the monster was far too top-heavy, however, and this kept them from being in top looks this week.

Laura, Laney and Alana develop a true collaboration, dividing the work evenly and supporting each other when they need to. It doesn't hurt that all three are dynamic artists with mad skills!

Lyma's experience lies primarily in body painting, so her technique is flowery and broad. Tate prefers - and knows the judges will demand - realism, and tells her so, but she can't course-correct her work in time to meet this criterion. Her contribution to the "Nuclear Survivor" couple lands her in bottom looks.

Scott and Adolfo clashed in the lab while both trying to apply pieces to the bride, but somehow they managed to get all their work completed and ready to show. Kevin especially loved the use of bionics in their work, and the team feel good about the day.
22971
The judges found the work of Frank, Eric, and Rick underwhelming, and point out Frank's odd placement of the jaw piece as a sore spot. Eric's stomach is flipping around with regret that he forgot the oh-so-essential head bolts for the monster, and is resolute that his teammates won't suffer for his mistake.

Miranda's worry over the judges opinion is palpable, though overall, they like her work. The feel Eddie and Sam didn't contribute much, but Sam, in particular, feels the heat for her "bulbous" cowl and rough hand appliances. She leaves the competition this week, though her indomitable spirit gives her energy for the next step.

Alana's over the moon at being named this week's winner, and flashes us a beaming smile! Laura and Laney stand proudly by their work. Mrs. and Mr. Frank are also happy - they just have a different way of showing it in the future...
