WARNING: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
When last we saw Two she was being kidnapped by Boone. Now she's arrived at her apparent destination: the Ishida palace. It is Ryo's intention to ransom her for the Blink Drive, which Two insists isn't going to work because it's been "destroyed."
335897
Ryo is distracted by Teku and Two seizes the opportunity to break free, kill some guards, and square off with Ryo in a sword fight. We don't get to see which of them might win, though, as an explosion rocks the palace.
335898
The explosion ended up killing several of Ryo's generals with whom he was supposed to be meeting. Unrest in the empire is rising, it seems.
335899
There's also some unrest back on the Raza, where Three is drinking away his sadness over Two's disappearance and possible demise, while Five reassures him that, since Android saw Two in the future, she has to still be alive.
335900
Ryo calls to make his offer: Two for the drive. Of course, the crew says no, so he invites them to Zairon for dinner to talk things over. Three knows this is a trap, Six wants to hear him out. Five offers a compromise: Transfer Transit clones.
335901
Meanwhile, Ryo has another deal to discuss, this time with Ferrous Corp.. In exchange for delivering Two, Commander Neiman wants Ryo to keep the League of Autonomous Worlds in check and out of Ferrous' hair while they work on winning the war.
335902
When the Raza Crew arrives on Zairon, they are quickly separated. During a very intense conversation, Six discovers rather quickly that it was Misaki who killed Nyx last season.
335903
Teku takes Five to see Two. The two women are very glad to see each other but of different opinions on whether it's worth possibly trading the Blink Drive for her life, or risking their own for hers. Five puts her tiny foot down, though.
335904
Then there's Android. She's back on the ship and has decided to install the new emotional upgrade. And now there's an avatar of Chase who is apparently here to guide her on her journey toward overthrowing humanity. No big deal. Also, "anthroparchy."
335905
Last but not least, there's Three. He's the first to get an audience with Ryo who wastes no time getting to the point and laying on the guilt. First he threatens Two's life, then he drops the bomb that Three was actually responsible for the illness that killed Sarah.
335906
Ryo is ready to lay guilt on everyone it seems because his next victim is Five. He delivers the old news that Five has a sister before revealing his ace. He knows who adopted her. She showed up on the day Five ran away and whoever her parents are their identities really freak Five out.
335907
Six's turn, only he's not here to be threatened or guilted. He's come with an offer. They get to live and they'll ally themselves with Ryo. He gets their support but they keep the Blink Drive. That's really not what Ryo is looking for.
335908
It's a good thing Six was there, though, because he manages to thwart yet another attempt on Ryo's life. Before they can discover who is behind the attacks, however, the would-be assassin offs himself.
335909
Time for an uncomfortable dinner party. Ryo offers the Raza Crew 30 million bars in exchange for the Blink Drive. Six is a hard pass while Three, and surprisingly Five, want to take the deal.
335910
In an attempt to sway their votes, Ryo offers up some secrets he has access to, thanks to his memories, including the name of the GA officer who outed Six. No time to see if they'll bite though, because Zairon's forces are under attack and it looks like Teku is the traitor.
335911
Teku is a step ahead though. He's waiting in Two's room with a weapon … which he gives to her in exchange for some unknown favor. With a coup in full swing, the crew will need all the help they can get to make it out alive.
335912
Speaking of a coup, Teku isn't the one behind it. Misaki is and she's cornered Ryo in the court to cut off the head of Zairon.
335913
While Ryo is defending his throne, Three makes sure Five and Six get back into their pods and transferred back to the ship, then, wracked with guilt over Sarah and unwilling to take those memories back with him, he gets himself killed so he wakes up with a clean slate.
335914
Ryo puts up a good fight against Misaki, but he's not quite skilled enough to defeat her. Just as she's about to lay the poison blow, Two appears to save the day and finally get her revenge. She and Ryo escape back to the ship.
335915
With Two back on board the crew discusses the immutable world of fate and whether all of future Five's portents will come to pass. We've seen three of them so far, and there are many more on the list.
335916
Further dinner discussion also includes a debate over whether or not to kill Ryo. Three says yes, of course, Six and Five say no. Two gives Android a vote and she says yes so it's up to Two.
335917
Two votes yes, and prepares to kill her former crewmate. But before she can do it, Ryo has one last ace up his sleeve. A hint at one of those future events and the knowledge that Two, as Rebecca, had a child with Shaw and left her with someone named Cryden.
335918
And with that final bombshell, Ryo prepares to meet his fate, while Two, shaken and confused, raises her gun.
