WARNING: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
Android has robot friends and they're in trouble. To the crew's credit, they agree to go help them without much debate, despite the fact that she doesn't know what kind of trouble they're in.
332416
And that trouble is pretty serious. When they arrive on Janah 12 they find out that there's a dead person, which is a biiiig problem. Again, to the crew's credit, they agree to help.
332417
One of the androids, Ruac, has a damaged neural matrix and is kinda freaking out, yelling "it was wrong!" but, of course, we don't know what he's talking about and it could all be nonsense.
332418
Victor and Android have a conversation about the upgrade, which was compromised a couple weeks of ago. He offers her a new one. Then, he offers her something else: a chance to meet their creator.
332419
Turns out, their creator left a message hidden in the code of the emotional upgrade that is specifically tailored to that kind of android. It contains coordinates and the word "sanctuary."
332420
Three is having a lot of trouble accepting their android guests. Something about human-like androids with emotions apparently rubs him the wrong way.
332421
ANDROID MEMORIES! We keep seeing flashes of everyone else's memories, but Android's were erased too. Now, Victor is dredging some of them up, including one about how Portia brought her to the Raza and took over the ship.
332422
Anya, one of the other androids, knowing she's being tracked by the GA, decides to take herself out of the equation. Ruac's damage proves too much for him and he shuts down.
332423
Another Android memory. This time, a very different side of Portia thanks a pre-Five Emily for helping get Android back online. She cares about this Android, even saying that she's "not a machine."
332424
They get to their destination and discover Chase, who recognizes Two (as Rebecca) and Android (as Sookie). When they ask to be taken to the creator they find a woman in stasis who looks exactly like Android.
332425
Not Android, of course, but Dr. Irena Shaw, the creator of the modern Android. She also oversaw Rebecca's creation at Dwarf Star, but, says Chase, saw her as more than property.
332426
Chase details their story, in which Shaw is the one who helped Rebecca escape from Dwarf Star and smuggled her to her facility where she started introducing viruses into the Android updates to give them free will.
332427
Two also discovers that she and Shaw had a romantic relationship, but that Shaw had a brain tumor and Rebecca put her in stasis so she wouldn't die. The other Androids left, and Chase gave her an Android that looked like Shaw to help her grieve.
332428
Two wants to use her nanites to see if she can save Shaw from her tumor. The whole thing has really freaked Android out and she heads back to the ship with Six.
332429
Android tells Six that she feels like the fact that she was made to look like Dr. Shaw somehow diminishes her existence. She's just a poor copy of a real person. Six reassures her that she's an original all to herself.
332430
Shaw is awake now, and she's not very happy to learn that the woman she loves has no memory of her or their time together. Shaw also tells Two that even if the nanites work, they've tried this before and they're only a temporary solution.
332431
Android's identity crisis continues, this time with Five. She's practicing being more human because she feels like the upgrade is just a mask. You see, she was intended for a "greater purpose": to hold Dr. Shaw's consciousness.
332432
Shaw tells Two how she refused to transfer her consciousness into her Android form, and how they argued about it. Then, Two has an idea. Shaw may not be willing, but they've got a consciousness in need of a body.
332433
Sarah is down. And even Three thinks it's a great idea, despite his earlier issues with androids. They transport her consciousness down to the planet.
332434
One more Android memory. This time a very cute moment with Ryo where he's treating her like a human person. Then Portia comes in to tell him about a "manufacturing facility" and an "invasion."
332435
Just as they're beginning the process to give Sarah her new body, the GA shows up. Turns out there was a tracker in Victor too, shielded from their scans. Shaw destroys it but the damage is done. They need to leave.
332436
Here's the problem: Sarah's not done yet and any issues during the process will probably kill her. Shaw and Chase have an escape plan and Three allows them to take her pod with them when they escape on the Marauder.
334083
Goodbyes all around. Android and Victor say theirs, while Two and Shaw say their own. None of them really knows if they'll ever see each other again. Shaw, meanwhile, passes on the override for Dwarf Star's security, just in case.
332438
Three and Android are drowning their respective sorrows together in the mess. Three gives Android a hit of the real stuff, but, of course, she prefers hot chocolate. Three apologizes for his earlier thoughts about Victor and says he's welcome anytime.
332439
Sarah's upload was successful, which is great. She feels awesome, but Dr. Shaw warns her that she's actually extremely dangerous. She's a human mind in an android body. Oh, and one more thing …
332440
Turns out, Victor lied about the events on the space station. Anya set a trap for her old owner, and Victor killed him and shot Ruac. And now they want Sarah to "help them." Do what, exactly?
