The episode opens 20 years in the past, where young Clay and his mother prepare for the return of Clay's father, a Marine who served in Somalia.
142066
Clay wanders off and comes across Malcolm, who claims he's very hungry and little boy is on the menu. Maybe little boy's mama, too.
142071
Clay flees into the woods but is attacked and bitten by Malcolm-wolf, the first step in becoming the smoldering werewolf academic we know and love today.
142076
In the present day, Clay visits Professor Shayhouse at Tulane University and inquires about the symbol written in blood on the wall at Malcolm's Rochester hideout and on the necks of the weirdos who attacked him and Elena on the docks. Shayhouse is terrified, claiming the symbol is related to witches, "left-hand path, malevolent practice," and that a Miss Yoruba in the nearby town of Zachary might be able to assist him further.
142081
Meanwhile, Malcolm's the guest of dishonor in the cage at Stonehaven. He once again warns Jeremy that "There's something coming for us." Perhaps for the first time in his miserable life, the big bad wolf is afraid.
142086
Roderigo asks to be the one to kill Malcolm, to which Jeremy seemingly agrees. Instead, Jeremy tears open Roderigo's neck, assuring Malcolm that no calvary's coming for him. Malcolm still refuses to reveal the location of Rachel. Sheesh!
142091
Clay finds Miss Yoruba gruesomely murdered and a book that contains a phrase uttered by the group that attacked him and Elena on the docks. Who is The Destroyer? That doesn't sound good.
142096
Clay visits his old trailer, where the groundskeeper tells him that a family used to live there. The little boy disappeared and the mother was killed by a wolf, and the soldier father committed suicide shortly thereafter. Heartbroken, Clay flees the trailer without revealing his own identity.
142101
Back at Stonehaven, a mysterious mist covers the property and Nick has a run-in with one of the witches we met in Episode 1. She casts a spell that makes his eyes bleed, after which he's temporarily blinded. Terrifying!
142106
Inside the house, the other witch drops a marble-like object that rolls across the floor and down the stairs and stops at Malcolm's cage. Before she can investigate, she's chased out of the house by Logan in wolf form. No witches allowed!
142111
Clay returns to Stonehaven and confronts Malcolm about the book. Malcolm killed Miss Yoruba when she refused to give him the tome, which contains information on how to battle their new enemy.
142116
Later, Elena has what might be her last interaction with the "real world" as she meets Philip's sister Diane at the local diner. As far as Diane knows, Philip died in a car accident, but she refuses to forgive Elena for pulling her brother into Elena's dangerous world. She tells Elena to never contact her or her family again, which reignites Elena's grief and rage.
142121
The witches return to Stonehaven, though with a bit less theatricality this time. They introduce themselves to the Pack as Ruth and Paige WInterbourne and reveal they're all being hunted by the man responsible for the massacre at Malcolm's hideout in Rochester. This man wants Malcolm, and so do the witches - they want to trade him for the safe return of one of their own, a young girl (perhaps the "Savannah" mentioned in Episode 1?). Jeremy refuses to hand over Malcolm and the witches take their leave ... though we doubt we've seen the last of them.
142126
Full of rage and sorrow after her encounter with Diane, Elena confronts Malcolm, who taunts her about Philip's death. She almost kills Malcolm right then and there -- without finding out where Rachel is -- but Logan and Clay rush in and keep her from doing the deed.
142131
Jeremy realizes that Malcolm actually has no idea where Rachel is and promises him that first light will be his last. Sleep tight, Dad.
142136
Jeremy comforts a heartbroken Logan, who must come to terms with the possibility that he might not ever see Rachel again. Jeremy tells him that he is home, with his family -- no more talk of going on the run as a mutt to raise his son himself.
142141
Meanwhile, Ruth left a little something in the bowl of walnuts. The next morning, Elena wakes up to find every door and window in the house wide open ...
