Then these special task force guys come along, and they're ready to 86 Matt and Dana. But when they find out their family is nearby, they demand the kids lead them there.

When Brianna tries to tell the Mother Superior that the Reverend Brother is possessed, Brianna is locked in the barn because of course they don't believe her. While in her make-shift jail, Brianna snoops around for any implement that can be used to help her escape. Oh, how about this butter knife?!

Turns out, this big hunk of nasty is an old Iraq combat buddy of Karen's by the name of Jeff Quantrell. He jumps at the opportunity to help the Copelands get back on their feet.

Doctor Rawlins, who we met a couple of episodes ago when he was helping feverheads, helps purge Sally of those nasty flesh-eating critters that called her arm a home.

Call it love, or call it coming to his senses- either way, Devyn brings Brianna her gun, and says bye to the Reverend Brother. The two escape to the woods together.

Quantrell's right hand man has been infected, and decides to take his unchecked anger out on the good Doc Rawlins. The Copelands decide to take off, while being chased by a band of crazed feverheads. Sally, ever the helpful hippie, decides to stay behind with Quantrell in case she's able to help some of the infected.
