Warning: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
In 2016, Olivia needs answers about how to move The Army of the 12 Monkeys mission ahead. She takes that crazy hallucinogen that Katarina and Jennifer took before but it allows her to see The Witness who instructs her to find Cassie and “prepare her.” But prepare her for what?
200302
Meanwhile in 2044, Cole goes to warn the older Jennifer that she may be in danger since she's Primary. She assures him that present and past Jennifer is fine (the latter, presumably, since she's alive in 2044) but now Cassie has to go back to 2016 to get help from the younger Jennifer in order to locate the next primary to save. Naturally, Cassie hates this.
200304
While Cassie is prepping to head back in time, one of Deacon’s men (Clem) comes back from a scout, having lost the rest of the men. He shouts something about The Foreman, which enrages Deacon. And then Deacon shoots Clem because he knows that Clem tried to sell him out to said Foreman.
200305
The Jennifer Goines in 2016 seems to have her life together. She takes her meds, meditates and even adopts a pet turtle (which we’ve seen a ton of in 2044). But she's still kinda obsessed with Cole and hangs out at the Emerson Hotel waiting for him to return. She gets a big surprise when she finds Cassie there instead.
200306
Equally as surprising? When Jennifer’s new friend Stacy finds her and Cassie together, Stacy PULLS A GUN ON CASSIE?! No fear! Cassie quickly kicks her ass and she and Jennifer escape. Unbeknownst to Jennifer, Stacy had been working with The Army to keep an eye on her.
200307
After the incident with Deacon blowing Clem’s brains out, Cole begs Katarina to do something about him, but Katarina says she sees Deacon as a necessary evil to keep the facility safe. It’s a good point.
200308
Realizing that the only way to get Jennifer to see her visions again and lead the gang to the next Primary is to get her to relive a traumatic event, Cassie and Jennifer head out to the Goines family summer home where years ago Jennifer’s mother tried to kill her.
200309
Jennifer and Cassie make it to the summer house and unlock Jennifer’s visions. Turns out she’s been drawing other Primaries since childhood. One drawing lead Cassie to a clue about a Primary named Kyle Slade in NYC in the 1970’s. And then The Pallid Man shows up at the summer home for an unexpected visit… uh oh.
200310
The Pallid Man brings Cassie and Jennifer to Olivia’s place. Olivia makes Cassie drink that red tea while Jennifer is taken into another room by her frenemy, Stacy. Jennifer was able to knock Stacy out cold and comes upon this giant time map, called Word of the Witness, with everyone’s name, birthdate, and death date - including Jennifer's. Useful maybe, but kind of a downer.
200311
Since Katarina wasn’t going to take care of the Deacon problem, Cole and Ramse take it upon themselves to make a deal with The Foreman and led Deacon to his doom. At least maybe the facility will be a little more peaceful now.
200312
Olivia leads Cassie through her hallucination just as The Witness instructed her to in an effort to prepare Cassie. Her dead Season 1 boyfriend Aaron is in it. Wait, is Aaron The Witness?
200313
Luckily for Cassie, Jennifer comes to the rescue, stabbing Olivia, and pushing her into a pool. They escape! YAY!
200314
Ramse and Cole make it back to the facility and much to their surprise so does Deacon. Turns out The Foreman and his goons were no match for the West 7 leader. Although Cole and Ramse set him up, Deacon has no hard feelings, and wants to initiate some peace, asking Cole to bring some whiskey back next time he goes to the past.
200315
After Olivia lets Jennifer and Cassie get away, The Pallid Man asks The Witness if he can take over the mission, to which the reply is: “Yes. It is your birthright.” We don’t know about you, but this seems very bad.
200316
We end on The Primary Kyle Slade in 1975, who somehow knows that Cole is coming for him. This guy seems crazier, and definitely more dangerous than Jennifer… This can’t be good.
