WARNING: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
When we last left the Earp sisters, Wynonna had crashed the car and sent them both adrift on a cliff. When they wake up, Waverly finds herself being dragged by the feet by some mysterious person, and Wynonna, impossibly placed on one of the cliff's lower legdes, is talking to her mother. It could be the sleep, it could be a hallucination, could be a vision, or it's possible that Wynonna's momma has broken free. Either way, that vision convinces Wynonna to snap her shoulder back into place and scale that wall. Of course, she must leave Peacemaker down below to do so.

And Waverly? She was picked up by this guy, a total nature nut who, after urban development robbed him of his regular animal catches switched to human prey for his supper. Necessity is the mother of invention. He's getting ready to make a charcuterie plate out of Waverly.
393030
Waverly receives a concerned call and text from Nicole, which our mountain man intercepts. When he gets close enough to Waverly, he uses a supernatural power to suck her voice from her mouth, and feign it to assuage Nicole on the line. He must be great at prank calls!
393009
Dolls finds Doc at his bar, throwing knives at a wall (as one pensive and disquieted does). He's being tempted by the dark side: he's seen his fate – Hell – and isn't too keen on ending up there should he die. Maybe he needs another way out.
393010
While investigating the outskirts of Purgatory, Nicole is stopped by a hunter who got separated from his son. He shows Nicole the wrecked truck, and now she knows what's really up.
393011
And the hunter's son? He found Waverly, all right, but was knocked out as soon as he approached her. The mountain man next puts Waverly inside a cage, and drags the boy's body away. Whither? We'll have to see.
393012
Jeremy gives Doc a drop at his bar, looking for some ingredients. He tells him that Dolls is suffering from some strange side effects, and that his medicine may be wearing off. But no time for medicine hour: Doc gets a text from Nicole alerting him of the Earp situation, and he rushes off as Jeremy tracks Doc's location and sends it to Dolls.
393013
Wynonna tracks down Waverly in the hut, and has to jump through some invisible boopy-trapped hoops to get near her. She hides in an attic when mountain man returns.
393014
While Wynonna is trying (and failing) to free Waverly from the cage, little sis takes the opportunity do interrogate her sister about why, all these years, she never mentioned their mother was still alive. Not the time, Wave!
393015
Dolls makes one last stop at the lab before going off to find the Earp sisters. Jeremy has some antidote, but it's not entirely ready yet. Dolls doesn't care.
393016
Wynonna comes face-to-face with our mountain man Revenant, and entices him on a chase into the woods...
393017
Where she kicks him into one of his own boobytraps, ending his campaign of 100% organic terror.
393018
Even after Wynonna saves Waverly's life and the team reunites, the younger Earp has the gall to bear a grudge against her older sis for keeping secret their mother. This family needs to learn how to let go!
393019
Dolls is battling with some inner demons as the drug wears off, and he's not so sure that he's going to win this time.
393020
And while Nicole is belaying down the mountain to retrieve Peacemaker, one of Bulshar's hench-demons, Lord Bondicus, snaps the rope sending the officer flying downward. Wynonna grabs the rope in time, but her strength is failing, and she's not sure how long she can hold on for.
393021
Lord Bondicus and Dolls face off for a battle royale, and the Lord tells Dolls that blood must be spilled today.
393022
Spoiler alert: it's Dolls who gives himself up. He used up his lizard powers to smote Lord Bondicus. Damn, he was a good man. Man/Lizard. He was a good man/lizard.
