WARNING: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
While looking for something cute and chintzy to give to Wynonna, Doc indulges in a drink at an antique shop turned whiskey bar. Of course. The bartender takes a shine to Doc's ring (which, as we know, is the last seal), and offers to trade him a creepy painting for it. Though denying the trade, Doc still wants to take the picture home and give it to Wynonna, with whom he's going to be dining. So the barkeep wraps it up.
332028
Oh, good lord. Why on earth would someone have that? And why on earth would Doc want it anywhere near his eyes? Of course, the bartender is a Revenant, and gifting Doc the painting is part of his twisted plan to…what exactly?
332029
Looks like it's the giving season — and it's nowhere NEAR Christmas. For all the work Rosita's done dragging Dolls back from the brink of lizard death, he returns the favor with a gift card to a spa. It's for two, and Dolls thinks she'll take Doc with her. He doesn't know that the two of them are on the rocks.
332030
And there's a body found on the outskirts of town in the forest. It's charred to a crisp. Upon closer inspection of a family ring on the corpse's burnt hand, Dolls deduces that the body is that of Tucker Gardner. Poor guy. Poor, perverted, freakish guy.
332031
Beth Gardner swings by the Black Badge lab to check in on her deceased bro. She doesn't care so much for his death, but does want the ring on his finger. Dolls can't let her walk out with evidence, so she thinks quick.
332032
So she uses her wiles to sweet talk Waverly, infuriate Nicole, and drive a wedge in their already fraught relationship (remember how Nicole hid Waverly's genetics papers? Right). This provides the destraction she needs to swipe the ring and skeedaddle.
332033
Meanwhile, Doc and Wynonna are having supper (it's some cheese thing) and it's all nice and sweet. Until Wynonna demands that Doc give her his ring so that she can destroy it, summon Sherrif Clootie, and then destroy him. It's always business with this one. Expectedly, Doc says no: his ring is his ticket to immortality. So they fight.
332034
Oh, and remember that spa trip for two Dolls gave Rosita? She went alright, but she didn't take Doc. Of course, all Waverly can think about is Revenants, her dubious heritage, and Haught. In the hot-tub, no less.
332035
While Jeremy and Dolls are cleaning up in Black Badge, they come across a fingernail wedged inside Tucker's burnt body. It's not a human fingernail, which leads Dolls and Jeremy to the conclusion that Beth is one of the Widows. A-ha! Sleuthy.
332036
Dinner is interrupted by more fighting and also a strange noise coming from upstairs. Doc goes to poke around. But finds nothing.
332037
At the spa, things get a little hotter in the hot tub. Waverly, still stewing over the Haught sitch, makes a pass at Rosita. Which is reciprocated? We think? Who knows. Rosita feels awkward and has to go change.
332038
She doesn't get very far. Tucker has come back from the dead (!!!) and killed Rosita for macking on his girl (definitely not his) Waverly. Tucker faked his death, and used the body of the slain body of the driver who picked him up as his double. Mischievous.
332039
He wants Waverly every which way.
332040
He won't be getting her though, thanks to Rosita, who cracks a bottle over his head. Wasn't she dead? Not really. She's a Revenant, so it's easy for her to come back. That's right. She's a Revenant. Who isn't these days, though?
332041
Oh, and remember that creepy doll in the picture Doc bought Wynonna? It's decided it wants to be a real doll, and so has leapt out of the frame and onto the mantelpiece. It's stirring up trouble between Wynonna and Dolls, sitting back, and enjoying the show.
332042
Meanwhile, Dolls has broken into the Gardner household looking to vanquish some Widows. And look cool while doing it.
332043
He finally gets Mercedes cornered and is ready to smoke her when…
332044
Jeremy shows up and bungles the whole operation by getting himself Widow-vapored.
332045
And Doc, who's so fed up with the bickering, and not a little nervous Wynonna might put a Peacemaker bullet in his head, takes off his ring and throws it at her.
332046
Of course, it's caught by the now full-grown doll lady standing in the doorway. She's been there the whole time. How did they not see her? Blind with rage, that's how.
332047
She's not there for long, as Wynonna smokes her with the demon killer.
332048
Doc gives Wynonna the ring proper, and she in turn promises that she won't destroy it without him being there. They want to make this whole nixing eternity thing official.
332049
And Beth intercepts Tucker as he makes his way back to town from the spa. She doesn't receive him with open arms. More like a powerful grip around the head and a mouthful of Widow vapor.
332050
Mercedes, meanwhile, to recharge her powers, heads on over to the Stone Witch's final resting place to conduct a ritual. These Widows are so weird.
332051
From there, she makes a pit stop at Nicole's place. Just a friendly, howdy-neighbor, how's the weather treating you, definitely not going to sacrifice you drop-in.
