In 2074, Children Turn on Their Parents and the Obese are Abused
Water costs a lot, job hunting can be fatal and the Corporations are after our children. Here's what the future looks like in Incorporated Episode 3.
Hello, citizen. Welcome back to Life in 2074, our weekly blog exploring the day-to-day of the future world of Incorporated. Here we take a closer look at the details of life in a corporate-controlled society as depicted in the latest episode of Incorporated.
Incorporated Season 1, Episode 3: "Human Resources" showed us that water costs a lot, job hunting can be fatal and the Corporations are after our children. See below.
Inazagi
Inazagi, the chief rival of SPIGA, was founded in Japan in 2021 in an effort to stay competitive with Western Corporations. It quickly became one of the biggest companies in Asia, buying out all competition. Culturally it has absorbed the best practices of all the Corporations it has purchased, creating one of the most respected - and restrictive - companies in the history of the planet. Some of Inazagi's key innovations include bio-virus implants used to track and monitor employees, deep water recovery tools and some of the best genetic modification programs on Earth.
Inazagi Communion Ceremony
Due to Non-Disclosure Agreements and concerns regarding proprietary information, Inazagi outlawed traditional banquets for employees. Instead, they have instituted the Communion by Proxy ceremony, wherein a vessel is chosen and served a wide selection of pharmaceutical relaxants. The neural response is then repeated for all other employees across a one-way headset, ensuring a good, safe time for everyone.
Defectors
SPIGA welcomes defectors from rival companies, and contractual protections are implemented to prevent any retribution from their former employer. If you suspect a defector may be available, please report it to the security or counter-espionage department immediately.
Juku Schools
For the best of the best of the Red Zone, the exciting world of Juku Schools helps to ensure that your full potential can be explored. Many students find exciting careers within the Green Zone and long careers within the corporations. Enrollment in Juku Schools do not guarantee employment, advanced educational opportunities … or actual learning.
Pass Workers
There are copious opportunities for respectable Red Zone citizens to gain employment in the Green Zone, specifically as part of the Pass Worker program. Employment is on an as-needed basis and may be terminated at any time. All Pass Workers are searched and scanned upon leaving the Green Zone.
Water Shortages
Throughout the Red Zones, clean drinking water is at a premium. While it is fine to share your water with any Pass Workers, it is imperative that no water is taken out of the Green Zone with them. If you suspect water theft, please report it to your local security office.
