Let's take a look at our favorites as compared to those of the judges.

Season 9, Episode 7: "All That Glitters"

Top Looks (Judges):
Meg's Queen Mab from Romeo & Juliet (Winner)
Stevie's Hippolyta from A Midsummer Night's Dream

Our Top Looks:

  1. Stevie's Hippolyta from A Midsummer Night's Dream

Stevie did a stunning job on Theseus' Amazon warrior-woman bride, bringing an undeniable female sensuality to her male model. Really, this guy could play the role in a stage production of Midsummer; as long as he had the voice to match the look, you could've fooled us.

  2. Nora's Sycorax from The Tempest (Safe)

We didn't quite agree with the inclusion of a couple of mentioned-but-never-seen characters (this being one of them), but here the work transcends such reservations. Damn, if this isn't how we always pictured Caliban's witchy mama ... and that's a dude under there!

  3. Meg's Queen Mab from Romeo & Juliet

This is another mentioned-but-never-seen character, and perhaps an unfair advantage for Meg as she was able to conjure a completely supernatural character (versus, say, poor Ricky, who had to turn a Channing Tatum-looking dude into Ophelia from Hamlet). Still, she did excellent work with this spidery creation; if nothing else, we're certainly happy that she's out of her Bottom Looks rut.

Next Week: Prepare for the ferocity of "The Gauntlet."
